The u3a (University of the Third Age) is a UK wide network of local groups.
Our aim is to encourage people no longer in full-time work to come together and continue to enjoy discovering and learning more about topics of interest, and socialising with people with similar interests.

Trial of New Venue
Its been suggested that one reason for small attendances at the Network Meetings is the current venue. We're going to try out the Rotunda Room at the Roundhouse, Braddan for our 17th September meeting. This venue is better connected for public transport and maybe offers more useful networking options. Please come along and have a look at the venue and let us know your thoughts. This is just a trail.
Media & Publicity Help
As we have a smaller Committee this year and with our aim to raise awareness of the IOM u3a, the Committee is looking for support to help with local communications, social media, and marketing. This is not a Committee role and there would be no Trustee responsibility. You would report to the Chair and would attend meetings as and when necessary. If you are able and willing to help out then please get in touch with John Tottenham - email. Chair
Christmas Lunch
The Christmas Lunch will take place at The Empress Hotel at 1200 on Thursday 10th December – more details in due course. Big thank you to Pauline Harding for stepping up to help organise this event.
The Beacon u3a Database
The Chair introduced Beacon in his last newsletter and explained the benefits to both you and the IOM u3a. Instructions on how to register for Beacon can be found on the Membership page or by clicking here. To maximise benefits for our u3a we really need to encourage 100% registration.
The University of the Third Age (IOM) is an IOM Registered Charity: Number 1121
